Ask ELVIS – a new donkey identification app for the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary

As visitors will know it can be tricky to identify our donkeys, especially when they are hanging out together in the paddock!

We’re delighted to say that the University of Southampton are currently developing a brand new A.I. app which will help our visitors identify which donkey is which. It’s still under development at the moment, but the project was recently featured on ITV Meridian and BBC news online.

You can also read more about the project on the University of Southampton’s website.

As you can see from the pictures, our donkeys were quite keen to get involved too!!
