At the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary, in-memory donations are a meaningful way to celebrate a loved one while supporting the donkeys in our care. Your gift helps provide food, shelter, and medical care, making a real difference every day.
You can collect donations at a funeral or memorial service, set up a dedicated memorial webpage, and we can provide a QR code for the order of service.
We also offer a range of memorial tribute options at our peaceful sanctuary, creating a lasting way to remember someone special.

In-memory giving at funerals and memorials
Collecting donations through a funeral or memorial service is a kind way to support our sanctuary and to honour a loved ones memory, thank you.
QR code for Order of Service
If you would like to download a QR code for an Order of Service, you can do so here. When the QR code is scanned, a donation can be made directly through our website.
Online tribute pages
You can set up an online tribute page where family and friends can donate to your chosen charity, leave messages, share memories, and even upload photos. We recommend muchloved.com or memorygiving.com - both provide free memorial pages and transfer donations directly to us.
Sending funeral donations to us
To send collected donations to us, you can make a one-off payment online. Please remember to tick yes when you are asked if this donation is in-memory of someone, and provide their full name.

Dedicated tributes at our sanctuary
By placing a memorial plaque or tribute within our sanctuary, you can celebrate the life of your loved one in a meaningful and lasting way. Set amongst 55 acres of beautiful grounds, each tribute also helps us care for the donkeys in their memory.
Dedication leaf
A dedication leaf can be engraved with the name of your loved one and a small message. The leaf is fitted to our Tribute Planter, set between Busby’s Paddock and Sunny’s Sandpark, and overlooking our animals whilst they graze and play.
We ask for a minimum donation of £100 for one of our dedication leaves.
Bird box
Remember your loved one through the joy of nature, with these beautiful nest boxes created by a local Island charity, Care In The Garden, and located to buildings around our sanctuary. Each nest box is supplied with a dedicated engraved memory plaque as a tribute to a beloved family member or friend.
We ask for a minimum donation of £150 for one of our bird boxes.
Butterfly barn
Celebrate the memory of your loved one while supporting the conservation of our local butterfly population with a butterfly barn at our sanctuary. Each barn is lovingly handcrafted by Care In The Garden and placed amongst the plants and flowers that attract butterflies across our farm.
An engraved plaque will be fitted to the barn with your chosen name and a short message.
We ask for a minimum donation of £200 for one of our butterfly barns.
Memorial bench
Create a lasting tribute to your loved one with a memorial bench. Each wooden bench offers a peaceful place for reflection and is placed within our 55 acres. An engraved plaque will be fitted to the bench with your chosen name and wording, providing a meaningful and special memorial tribute.
We kindly ask for a minimum donation of £500 for each memorial bench.
