Join us at the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary Dog Show on Sunday 21 September!

Grab your pooches and get ready for a tail-wagging good time at our fun dog show, hosted by the brilliant Wight Agility Group on Sunday 21 September from 1pm to 4pm.

Whether your dog is already a prize pooch or a softie who loves a fuss, there’s a class for everyone and plenty of rosettes to be won.

Before the show kicks off at 1pm, why not arrive early and spend the morning exploring the sanctuary? Meet our friendly donkeys, stroll through our beautiful site and visit our shop. Our café will be serving our regular menu of delicious food and treats for everyone. We'll make sure we're well stocked with dog ice cream!

Classes are:

  • Best mixed breed
  • Best pedigree
  • Best veteran
  • Best puppy - 3 to 12 months
  • Best buddies - child and dog
  • Best condition - short haired
  • Best condition - long haired
  • Waggiest tail
  • Prettiest bitch
  • Most handsome dog
  • Best rescue (includes rehoming)
  • Most like the owner - fancy dress encouraged!
  • Best trick

Entry is just £3 per class, £5 for two classes or £10 for four classes, payable by cash or card on the day.

Bring your dog, bring your family and enjoy a full day of fun, food, and furry friends with us.

Isle of Wight Gin will be providing tastings of our bespoke Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary Hedgerow Gin from lunchtime.

Please note:

  • All well behaved, non reactive dogs welcome - it's going to be a busy day for dogs and humans!
  • Dogs must be kept on a lead please
  • We will have straw bales for people to sit on - please do not let your dog wee on these as we will use them for our donkeys after the show
  • We expect the road outside the sanctuary to be busy - there may be traffic delays

A very big thanks to Wight Agility Group for their support.
