From Monday 12 July we're giving you the chance to win a £25 voucher to spend in our cafe or shop this summer. All you need to do is caption this post on our Facebook page.

How do I enter?

Participants must comment on the competition Facebook post with a caption for the photo.


Prize Draw Rules

1.      Eligibility to enter

This competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom (excluding Northern Ireland) aged 18 years or over.

Employees of the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.

No purchase is necessary to enter.


2.      Starting date and closing date

The competition begins on Sunday 12 July at 8pm and closes on Wednesday 22 July 2026 at 11:59pm. Entries received after this time will not be accepted.


3.      Further information on how to enter:

Only one entry per person. Entries must be submitted before the closing date shown above. Please note entries that are incomplete, offensive or inappropriate will be void and will not be entered into this competition.


4.      Prize

The prize is as described below. There are no cash alternatives. The prize may only be awarded to the winner and is non-transferable.


The winner will receive: £25 gift voucher to spend in our café. The voucher is valid until 31 August 2027.

The promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if necessary.


5.      Selection of the winner

This is a skill-based competition.

The winner will be chosen based on creativity and originality of the caption by the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary Team.

The decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.


6.      Notifying the winner

The winner will be announced on Monday 13 July 2026 via Facebook.

The winner may also be contacted via Facebook comment or direct message.

If the winner does not respond within 72 hours from the date and time of the draw, the promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.


7.      Prize delivery

The prize will be posted out or available for collection from the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary shop.

Data will not be used for marketing purposes without explicit consent.

The promoter of this prize draw is The Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary CIO, a charity registered in England and Wales with charity number 1159886 whose mailing address is at The Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary, Lower Winstone Farm, St John’s Road, Wroxall, Isle of Wight PO38 3AA.


  • Limitation of the promoter's liability

While nothing in these rules will limit the promoter's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or for fraud, the promoter will not be legally responsible to entrants or winners for any losses that were not foreseeable to the promoter or to the entrant at the time of entry to this prize draw or which are caused by a third party.


  • No association with social media platforms

This prize draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered or associated with social media platforms, including Facebook, X, YouTube or Instagram. By entering, participants confirm they release Facebook from any liability related to this competition.


  • Applicable law; forum for disputes

The laws of England and Wales apply to these rules. Any disputes relating to this prize draw or these rules will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, although if you are a resident of Scotland, you can choose whether to bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales or in the courts of Scotland.


  • Changes to these rules

The promoter shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to make reasonable changes to these rules. Such changes will take effect as soon as they are published on this webpage. If any significant changes are made which would affect your right to participate in this prize draw, we will give you notice of these changes by email.


  • Cancellation due to circumstances outside of the promoter's control

The promoter reserves the right to cancel this prize draw if circumstances outside of the promoter's control prevent the promoter from operating this prize draw, including but not limited to the following events: acts of God, epidemic or pandemic, terrorist attack, civil war or disturbance, war or armed conflict, imposition of sanctions or breakoff of diplomatic relations, action taken by a government or public authority, collapse of buildings, fire, explosion or accident, cyber attack or interruption or failure of utility service.
