Meet Fred and Roo

Two donkeys are grazing in a grassy field.

Recent arrivals Fred and Roo were discovered living in poor conditions. They needed immediate treatment at the mainland equine hospital, treatment which cost the sanctuary £4,000.

Now happily living with us they are cared for, well fed, free from pain and enjoying life meeting our visitors.

Fred and Roo's story is just one example of the care we provide for animals in need.


Thanks to the support of people like you, our donkeys and ponies receive the essential care they need and deserve. Whether it’s urgent medical treatment, nutritious food or a safe warm place to live, you help us give them a caring and loving home - forever.
