Joe Ellis Fundraising Day

Smudgie and Myra Invited To Joe Ellis Fundraising Day!

The Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary were invited to the Joe Ellis Fundraiser day last Saturday (1st June) and we would like to say a huge thank you to all of the organisers and stewards of the event.

Laura, Julia and work experience student Jessi arrived in the donkey bus with Smudgie and Myra, and were welcomed quite literally with open arms.

The stewards were very helpful and ensured our visit went smoothly. We were lucky to be parked next to the traction engines which we enjoyed as much as the donkeys did!

Donkey ears pricked up every time the miniature traction engine went by and they received lots and lots of fuss and strokes. Myra took a “time out” inside the donkey bus, while Smudgie lapped up every bit of attention! Nothing changes!

What a brilliant cause to support, we thoroughly look forward to coming back next year!
