Such a special little place. The donkeys looked so happy and well cared for. We really enjoyed walking around and reading the descriptions of each donkey. Free admission but we donated and spent money in the lovely gift shop.

Wonderful experience and great cafe. We visit the sanctuary a few times a year and it is always a wonderful experience. It is so nice to see the donkeys and ponies being so well cared for in lovely surroundings.

We visited the new cafe for breakfast with was really fantastic. Good quality food and good service. The cafe is nicely done with a good selection.

A fantastic place to visit, love the donkeys, they are all so well looked after and loved here. The sanctuary is beautiful, well laid out and full of boards with information about all the donkeys. There is a brilliant cafe called The Grazers Cafe. Toilets around the site. You are given a sheet to try to spot every donkey. Highly recommend a visit here.

As well as viewing the charming loveable donkeys, both inside the barns and outside in the paddocks, I walked through and round the furthest fields of the estate which are unsuitable for donkeys but which are preserved for ecology etc.

My wife enjoyed the excellent tea room. The souvenir shop is modest but sufficient for simple souvenirs. We bought Christmas cards featuring donkeys of course.

I would make this visit part of every holiday on the Island.

Not only is this a magical sanctuary for the animals and a great day out for pony and donkey lovers but wow perhaps one of the best places to eat on the Island! We ate here as we wanted to support the animals but where so impressed with the food and service it was a real treat.

It’s lovely to see this site develop into a world class visitor attraction and of course the incredible love and care given to the animals. If you only get to see one thing on the Island, consider this!

I remember when the toilets here were in a little shed at the back of the farm yard and the area where the new tea rooms are were where second hand books were displayed. What a difference.

The new tea rooms are really super, lots of light and space and a good choice of food and drinks. Friendly staff and a chef that could not do enough for us. A really warm welcoming place on the day of another storm when we needed somewhere to get out of the rain. Dog friendly inside and out with free parking. I totally recommend a visit and will be back again next year.

This was such a lovely visit. All the staff members are so lovely and helpful and really welcoming.

The donkeys are great and I love all the little touches like displaying the names of the donkeys on their halters and paddocks and the funny and informational posters and plaques around.

The place is doggie friendly and highly educational and I whole heartedly recommend a visit!

23rd December 2021, visited to celebrate a friend's birthday. 7 of us shared TPIW cream tea, a bale of hay for the donkeys. Fabulous cream tea & ambience. Staff extremely friendly & accommodating.

Visited the shop & adopted one of the recently arrived French donkeys. Staff were lovely, efficient and quick in processing everything.

Wandered round the site, pouring with rain and most donkeys were in the big barns sheltered. Those in the fields did have shelters to go to. All are extremely well looked after. All in all an excellent visit. Highly recommended. Will be visiting again soon!!

One of the must visit attractions when on the island. The charity does fantastic work rescuing from both UK and on occasion also Europe. Plenty of free parking and reasonably easy access to most of the sanctuary. Has both barns and open paddocks to view the many donkeys that call it their forever home.

Very nice cafe for drinks and food. An island based charity that is well worth your support.
