VOLUNTEERS

One way you can help the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary is to become a registered, accredited volunteer.

There are a variety of ways you could help.

Working with our donkeys

Could you help with our resident donkeys by spending some quality time with them? This time could be spent by grooming them, improving their confidence, helping lead them into new paddocks, giving them exercise or helping with their feeds. After time you could help the donkeys to work with others, such as children with special requirements.

We help to train you to work with our animals. Previous experience with equines, though helpful, is not essential.
