The New Herd – Come and meet our new herd, Dizzle, Blossom, Paddy & Murphy, Daisy, Bruno
and our “Special Christmas Adoption Donkey” Belle!
…all ready to feel the love!

A summary of our New Herd…

  • Dizzle – is light grey and wit his friend Dazzle has reached fame being sponsored by the Wight Marching Band. He is 25ish, not as confident as Dazzle and Daisy but good to handle.

  • Paddy and Murphy – Paddy and Murphy are Irish donkeys who joined us from the New Forest and they have been friends for 25 years. Paddy is shy and a bit nervous, so we will be working with him, to help him become more confident. Murphy is friendly and loves people.

  • Daisy – is a beautiful white / grey donkey who has a lot of admirers. She is very similar in looks and character to Snowy. She is the oldest of the adoption herd, coming close to 30 years of age. She is calm, laid back and loves attention.

  • Bruno – is big and cuddly and named after one of the first donkeys the Sanctuary homed. He loves to be groomed and made a fuss of. He is a late teenager in age and behaves accordingly – he isn’t keen on getting out of bed in the morning!

  • Belle – is a new arrival at the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary and this Christmas, we are celebrating this beautiful new arrival with a unique “Christmas Adoption” – the perfect gift for someone special.
